Omaha Public Power District

OLAV implemented an 18-module project for Omaha Public Power District (OPPD), a Nebraska publicly owned electric utility that includes a nuclear power plant. The 18 project modules covered the following:

  • Work Management – Work Management, Labor Entry & Reporting, Personal Qualifications Data, Equipment Tagout, Design Engineering.
  • Supply Chain – Inventory Management, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Procurement Engineering, Contract Management.
  • Configuration Management – Action Tracking, Document Management, Engineering Change Control, MSDS, Project Management; and
  • Asset Management – Project Costing, Asset Management, Miscellaneous Billing). The nuclear area requires a far more detailed and thorough Verification and Validation.

The project was completed within initial schedule (one year) and within initial budget – half the time, and at half the budget, estimated by the vendor of the Enterprise System.
