OLAV has performed four PassPort (now Asset Suite) data conversion and migration projects for Nevada Public Power Company (now NV Energy). Each project included data mapping, data conversion programming, data cleansing, data consolidation, data standardization, multiple pre-production data loads, and comprehensive verification and validation prior to the production data loads. Full closeout documentation was provided at the end of each project, thus ensuring a complete audit trail for client use. The Nevada Power Company data conversion projects are listed below. 1. IBM PassPort V6 to Unix PassPort V10 – One-year project entailed data conversion programming, three pre-production data loads, full data mapping specs, final production load, and close-out CD. No post-production problems. 2. Moved Silver Hawk Power Plant SAP Data into PassPort – Six-month project of data conversion programming; three pre-production loads; Full data mapping specs; catalog consolidation; catalog description to PassPort template characteristic values conversion; vendor and manufacturer consolidation and conversion; final production data load. No post-production problems. 3. Moved Bighorn Power Plant Maximo Data into PassPort – Project required data conversion programming; two pre-production loads; full data mapping specs; catalog consolidation; catalog description to PassPort template characteristic values conversion; vendor and manufacturer consolidation and conversion; ; final production data load. Minimal post-production problems. 4. Moved Three Northern Power Plant Legacy Data into PassPort – Project involved data conversion programming; three pre-production loads; Full data mapping specs; catalog consolidation; catalog description to PassPort template characteristic values conversion; manufacturer consolidation and conversion; vendor consolidation and conversion; final production data load. Minimal post-production problems. Some of the projects involved considerably more than simple data conversion.
